Phonics Blocks is a comprehensive, two-level phonics programme that aims at improving children's literacy skills.Phonics Blocks is a solid Science of Reading (SOR) programme that is built on the five essential components of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
Phonics Blocks follows the Systematic Synthetic Phonics (SP) teaching principles recommended by the Department for Education, UK.
Each unit introduces l letter sound through a fun story. The story includes the letter action and the target vocabulary words of this letter.
Each letter sound has a song and an action to model the sound. the songs are based on famous nursery ryhmes.
A chant to model the directions of each letter.
Tracing and free-hand writing activities.
